SanDot's is not a commercial kennel. Our goal is a committment to the Papillon breed. Our hope with each breeding is to add a new member to our show family. We only have a limited number of litters, therefore, only occasionally will we have an available puppy. Our committment begins with placing a puppy into an environment where it will thrive show quality or pet.
It is unlikely you will find an adult papillon available through us as we have raised and loved each dog in our home and when they have finished their show career they are still a member of our family.
SanDot's is proud of each of our dogs and we intend to continue our lines with them. What we look for in a papillon is a sound dog with excellent fringe and good quality coat. We look for dogs with good conformation but we will not sacrifice "type" for structure. A papillon that does not look like a papillon isn't one.
To produce top quality dog's we began our foundation with European lines. One wonderful exception we found in the US. Regardless of their origination all of our dogs boast strong championship lines.
We show our dogs because we enjoy the entirety of the sport. We take pride in the grooming and care given to our "babies". We watch their diets and it shows in their coats and personality. Our training efforts have created an enormous bond between our dogs and us - for this reason - our dogs that do not show still participate in show training.
We use the term "kennel" lightly on this site. All of ur dogs live in our house, travel to shows and vacation with us.
