The Eyes Tell All......
If anyone wonders if a dog has a soul perhaps one look into these eyes could erase all doubt. One look at the
photo on the left hooked me on this dog forever. He was a solid face drop earred pup; everything that should count against
him in the show ring in the US.
Beyond all that was a soulful strong spirit, so bright, I knew I wanted to bring
him home.
I have looked into these eyes many times to find him looking back thoughtfully and I am sometimes puzzled by whose
thoughts are whose. He connected very quickly with our family showing a remarkable ability to judge our moods and read our minds.
Overtime we've learned to read his. It always been there in his eyes......fear, love , trust , mistrust
, just waiting for us to see. Treat him with love and respect and you'll cherish the look you receive.

Those eyes can take one look into yours and know exactly whats on your mind. Brush, bath, or
just a hug he knows and reacts in kind. If its a hug you seek he lowers his head and folds in two; a sign
he's giving himself to you. A bath , you think, leap quickly cause he disappears in a blink. A brush is met
with minor caution he's just making sure you know who is in control; just in case you've forgotten.
